West Toronto Bass-Masters Club is one of the founding chapters of the Ontario B.A.S.S. Federation. On September 14th 1995 we as a club had the honour of becoming the 1st Canadian, and the 50th Federation in the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society.
Recent changes by ESPN have forced West Toronto Bass-Masters to leave the Federation and go it’s own way.

Splitting from ESPN/B.A.S.S. has some very good advantages including:

  • Costing less money for its members;

  • Emphasis is towards fun fish rather than that of high-pressure fishing.

  • We provide a more personal approach to our events, as apposed to:

    • give to me,

    • give to them,

    • do not keep anything for yourself,

    • support everyone except yourselves approach of the federation.

The federation has lost the fundamentals of the concept started by West Toronto in 1995.
